We have been searching for the perfect summer dress and asked some of our favorite shops in the area for their top pick. For me, the dream dress is one you can feel comfortable in while riding your bike to Plum Island, and continue to wear right on into the evening when you hit the town for drinks. Check out some great local dresses that fit the bill below!
The Saint James Propriano II , $179
This classic dress can be found at Amy Williams on Pleasant Street in Newburyport. The perfect choice for a weekend getaway, just shove it in your bag without worrying about wrinkling. Stop in to the store to see the 10 different color options and find your best match!
Adriatic Dress, $320
Right next door to Amy Williams is one of our favorite new shops, Nine Streets New York. Pictured here, the Adriatic Dress, which is incredibly comfortable and has enough character (hello ruffled neckline!!) to easily carry you through to a dinner date.
Pretty Little Things recently opened a shop on picturesque Inn Street in Newburyport. The dress pictured above comes in at a nice price point, $58, and the fabric is perfect for a hot summer day. Available in blue, white, and black.
Hannah Dress, $290
We couldn’t resist another Nine Street New York submission, the Hannah Dress, the longer length allows for a more sophisticated feel, but as the dress is made of cotton and has pockets (a true win for me) it would make for a great beach dress.
Susana Monaco, Flared Tank Dress in Pink Grapefruit, $180
From our favorite clothing store in Portsmouth, our final dress comes from Bliss. The color of this dress is fantastic, and the cut makes it simple enough for a day of exploring on the coast.
And once you have found your perfect summer dress, be sure to add some local jewelry to the mix. The bohemian inspired necklaces and bangles from North Shore based Luxa jewelry are decidedly unique and I just adore the seaside accents (see mermaid below!).
Dream Seeker Necklace, $ 58
Charmed Bangles and Stackers, $20-28
